Friends of the Library

Organized in 1977, our organization is a 501(c)3 tax exempt group that supports the Ashland Public Library with voluntary service and monetary contributions. 

Genealogy and Local History

The Ashland County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society (OGS) maintains a Genealogy and Local History Room located in the mezzanine level of the Ashland Public Library.

Ashland Times Gazette Archive

Explore local history through our extensive Ashland Times Gazette archive. New to the library in late 2018 is digital access to the Ashland Times-Gazette, spanning 2006 up to the present date.

Computers and Internet Access

The Ashland Public Library has 18 computers available for public use. All 18 computers have internet access and Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Mobile Printing

Need to print something? No problem. Our mobile printing service will save you time and money when you need to print your documents.

Meeting Rooms

Library meeting rooms are available during regular library business hours to educational, cultural, civic, social, political, religious, professional or other non-profit organizations or to volunteer tutors

LinkedIn Learning is an online learning resource that offers video courses in business, software, and creative skills. Sign in or register for free using your Ashland Public Library card.

Requesting material

Most items within our catalog can be reserved by placing a “hold” on it, regardless of the owning library.

The SEO Library Center supports a consortium of 94 Library systems with a total of 238 location across 47 counties all over Ohio using the OPLIN network

Golden Buckeye Registration

To apply for a Golden Buckeye Card, bring appropriate ID to the Circulation Desk. 

Voter Registration

You can register to vote or update your current registration if you have changed your address or name at the Customer Services Desk.
