Hemingway’s Cats | Chautauqua Event
July 14, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Join Chautauqua presenter John Anderson for Hemingway’s Cats. Hemingway loved cats, calling them “purr factories” and “love sponges.” Many descendants of Snow White, a white six-toed kitten that Hemingway received in the 1930s still roam the grounds of his home in Key West, Florida. This workshop will consist of stories of Hemingway and his cats, that included such notables as F. Puss, Fatso, Friendless, Feather Kitty, Princessa, Furhouse, Uncle Woofer, and his last cat in Idaho, Big Boy Peterson.
This program will be held at the Guy C. Myers Bandshell at Brookside Park.
